POS Settings
One place for checkout safety, receipts, payments and customer screens. Settings are saved on this business and keep working offline. Staff permissions still apply: a store-wide setting never gives an unauthorised login extra access.
Automatic lock & personal PINs
Choose whether this device stays signed in, how long to wait before locking, and whether each person unlocks with their own 4-number PIN or password.
Lock & PIN settings →Stock & barcode help
Choose how the till handles unavailable and unknown items.
Cancellation, refunds & prices
Choose whether authorised sellers may sell below cost. The selected price rule applies to everyone, including the owner. Role and per-user permissions remain the first gate.
Under Clickable basket lines → Change unit price, select roles allowed directly and set each user's rule to Allowed, Manager PIN required or Denied. A PIN never bypasses an explicitly saved store price cap.
Receipt & document layout
The thermal layouts produce ESC/POS slips. A5/A4 uses the installed printer/browser document route and must be test-printed on the target network printer before trading.
Payments
Connected terminals require a verified result. If no terminal is connected, the standalone option shows the exact amount and lets an authorised cashier record the machine’s approval.
Language & till theme
Language applies to supported interface text. Custom colours keep contrast checks.
Customer-facing screen
Works read-only on a second monitor or a paired tablet login. Select only the facts the shopper should see.
Named supervisor approvals
Configure a separate 4–8 digit approval PIN for a real owner, manager or supervisor. The cashier stays signed in; the override records exactly who approved it. PINs are hashed and never shown again.
Till layout & quick keys
Configure speed tabs and quick-selling shortcut tiles for your till lanes.
Applies to the retail till. In the classic format the product finder stays open with the cursor in it; a barcode or SKU typed or scanned into it adds on an exact match.
Hardware truth
Bluetooth thermal printer: direct browser/Android bridge support is built; pair and print a test slip. Network A4: the LAN bridge can find installed queues, but A4 layout needs a physical test. Integrated FNB terminal: automatic amount transfer requires the terminal model/protocol, provider adapter and acquiring-bank certification. Standalone card machine: the cashier enters the amount, checks the machine’s approval and records it as CARD MANUAL. IntelliVision does not verify or reverse standalone-machine payments.
